Steps to follow:

1

How to paint a wooden floor without sanding? First clean the floor. Hoover it and sweep it and, if necessary, remove any dirt that could hinder the process of painting. Then rub it down. We recommend doing it with a solution of vinegar and water or with a special cleaning liquid for wooden floors. With this you get a perfect finish, in addition to ending the grease and dirt. Sanding is very time consuming, and if you clean your wooden floor properly, there is really no need for sanding!

2

After cleaning, let the floor dry and properly position masking tape across the base perimeter. This will avoid possible splashes of paint on the wall and paint stains which are difficult to remove.

3

Prepares goods for painting. We recommend that you do it over cardboard or an old cloth that you can get dirty, to avoid stubborn stains on the floor.

4

Now, let's see how to paint a wooden floor without sanding... Open the paint you've chosen in your DIY store. Remember it must be a special paint for painting wooden floors. Open it and stir it to make it uniform. Then pour it into a tray of paint, especially to pass the roller and remove excess paint from it.

5

Remember: the texture of the paint should not be too thick. If so, we suggest that you dilute it according to the instructions the manufacturer gives you.

6

Next, paint the perimeter and stay within the masking tape. Use a brush to help with that. If you want to paint a wooden floor without sanding properly, remember to do so with care and patience, so as not to stain or have paint splattering the walls.

7

Then get yourself a roller with a proper extension handle for painting floors. Cover it in paint and start painting the floor by the side of the room farthest from the door, to avoid getting trapped and unable to leave the room. Continue painting the wooden floor. Roll the roller firmly across the flow.

8

When you already have all the painted floor, let the paint dry. Remember that the drying process will be between 24 and 72 hours following (1 to 3 days) depending on the moisture, air and other factors.

9

Finally, to paint a wooden floor without sanding perfectly, give a second coat of paint to the wood floor, if you consider it necessary. Remember to do this only once the floor is dry and you've seen the result. If you choose to give a second coat of paint, continue exactly as the first coat.

That's it, no need for sanding! It is possible and easy to paint a wooden floor without sanding!
