- Headboard or a wooden board
- Tape measure
A headboard hangs from the wall as if it were a painting, so attaching it is really quite simple. All you need are some rings and hooks. If it is just a single board, two attachment points is all you need. However if your headboard consists of two separate pieces of wood, you'll need four attachment points. Two at the ends of the headboard and the other two in the middle, one on each side of the juncture of the two boards to balance the weight.
Once you have all the necessary material to attach your headboard to the wall, put the rings at the back of the headboard, which will be attached to the wall. To secure them, first mark the points you intend to place the rings using a pencil.
Then, open each of the holes with a brace and screw all the rings in their respective places along the headboard.
Next, using a pencil, mark the height at which you want to secure the headboard to the wall. Then, drill holes into the points you have marked with the pencil.
Once you have made all the holes, put cleats and hooks on the wall, bearing in mind that you'll need to align the rings so that they can be secured correctly.
Finally, hang the headboard on the wall. Hook the rings on the back of the headboard to the hooks that you have drilled into the wall.
