Cloth shoes are a classic and recurring option to walk as safely and as comfortable as possible. In fact, the fabric is the fabric used in the creation of sports shoes. Although it is not one of the most difficult materials to clean, it is advisable to follow a few simple steps to help us maintain our shoes well kept and beautiful. In the following OneHowTo article we show in detail how to clean cloth shoes.

Steps to follow:
1

Although it is not the most recommended, many turn to the washing machine to clean cloth shoes. Admittedly they are completely clean and as new, but we must also keep in mind that not all tissues are equal and that many of them do not support the wash cycle, as holes in the fabric can eventually start to appear and end up breaking down. If you're going to put them in the washing machine, first remove the laces and wash them with a short cycle, with cold water and a gentle spin.

2

To keep your cloth shoes in good condition, ideally perform the following steps. First, remove the laces, shake the soles to remove any accumulated dirt and pass a soft brush across the shoe surface to remove dust and clean superficially.

3

Prepare a small container with a solution by mixing a little water, soap and bicarbonate of soda. Stir the three ingredients well until well blended.

4

Now, with the help of a soft toothbrush apply the mixture on the cloth shoes. Do it in circular motions without rubbing sharply. Rub a bit harder on blotchy in areas to eliminate them alltogether.

5

Once they are thoroughly cleaned, pass a damp cloth across the surface of the shoes to clean them and remove all traces of soap.

6

Finally, take a piece of wrinkled paper and insert it into each of the shoes to prevent warping. Place in a shady spot where no sunlight impinges directly and that is away from heat sources and avoid leaving marks and re-staining while drying.

7

Follow this simple process to clean your cloth shoes and check its effectiveness. On OneHowTo you can also see how to clean smelly shoes.
