Cactus and Feng Shui

In the Feng Shui belief it is said that cacti, although beautiful, transmit bad energy. It is known that bad energy is carried in their ‘‘prickly and sharp’’ thorns. Feng Shui followers believe that having cacti can bring misfortune to one’s life, such as: diseases, anxiety, stress or losses.

Because cacti originate from deserts, they survive by retaining large amounts of liquid. It is precisely for this reason that people believe they are not a symbol of abundance. It is thought in fact that they are rather a symbol of survival in adverse situations. As a result, Cacti in a house are known to cause financial problems.

However, this does not mean that you should not have one in your home. You just have to know where to put it.

For example, you should never put it at the door of your house because it will attract negativity and bad luck. In some houses a horseshoe (symbol of good luck) is put in the entrance, but a cactus should be avoided.

We suggest not placing them in your house, but instead on your terrace or window. In this way they will serve as protectors. This protection will come from their spikes, that will bounce any negativity back out of your house.
