Feng Shui followers believe that having a cactus in the house can bring misfortune to one’s life, such as: diseases, anxiety, stress or losses.

Because cacti originate from deserts, they survive by retaining large amounts of liquid. It is precisely for this reason that people believe they are not a symbol of abundance. It is thought, in fact, that they cactus are rather a symbol of survival in adverse situations. As a result, Cactus in home are known to cause financial problems.

However, this does not mean that you should not have one in your home, you just have to know where to put it.

How to care for a cactus

If you have a cactus, there is no need to throw it away. You simply need to place it in your home accordingly with the aim of protection.

A cactus plant is very easy to care for, since it does not need much irrigation. However, it is also important not to forget about it. A cactus does not need to constantly be watered. It needs to be watered once a week in small quantities. Do not over water it! We suggest making a calendar as a reminder, in this way you won’t forget.

To water this plant we recommend placing a hole in a bottle top. A small hole such as this will avoid accidental over-watering. Another way to avoid killing your cactus with too much water is to is to water it with a sprayer. Some people choose to place their hands under water and then let the drops fall from their fingers onto the plant.

Cactus negative energy

A cactus is not the only plant that transmits bad energy. Here is a list of other plants that are known to bring negative energy to a home.

  • Hydrangeas: are very beautiful plants known for their small colorful flowers and are commonly used for decorating homes. However, this plant actually represents loneliness. Therefore it is said that it can cause singleness, separation and divorce.
  • Pothos plant (Devil’s Ivy): it is also commonly found in homes. It is said that more than three of these plants in a home could create an imbalance of energies. It is advisable to place this plant near a door as it attracts both positive and negative energy and can therefore create a balance, if placed correctly.
  • Tamaring and Myrtle: These two plants, according to ancient mythology, are believed to dwell evil spirits. It is also advised to not build any new buildings in places where these plants have grown.

Stop watering it so much. I used to have the same problem.
Yes. I agree to this. I just found out today that cactus brings bad luck inside the room especially inside the bedroom. My my told me this afternoon, without giving me an explation why is it cause bad luck. I have been taking care this one cactus for 1 months, ever since I brought this plant here in our house I put this on my bedroom, at the back of my door facing on my head position when sleeping, For that one whole 1 month I always have anxiety and stress, I'll sleep and then wake up suddenly being stress, there were times that I am not comfortable when sleeping.
Also now I know the reason why my aunt places there in there terrace just beside the baggua. I really appreciate this article.

I unconsciously put a small cactus I bought months ago right by my window next to my bed table and I never knew why, I just felt like it was something that I had to do and now I understand the reason I was unconsciously hoping for protection it’s all clear to me now thank you I really enjoyed your article. :D

A plant is a plant is a plant. It has no value as an attractor of either good or bad luck. However if you believe it does either, you may attract the proof of that belief in your life.
