I filled a shallow 4x6 inch dish with vinegar and left it in the freezer for 20 minutes or so. I expected the vinegar to just mask the smell with its own strong smell, but after removing the vinegar, there was no oder of any kind! I dumped the used vinegar on the weeds growing in the sidewalk cracks to kill them (do not use near plants you wish to keep). The used vinegar could also be used again for cleaning - I just didn't want to make salad dressing with it 😉.
